Katherine Adams & Steven Hunter

PierPoint is run by two industry leaders whose talents pair perfectly, Katherine Adams and Steve Hunter. Katherine Adams comes from the purchasing side of the world, while Steve Hunter has a background in manufacturing. Together, they’re tackling the textiles industry.

Back in 2014, Katherine Adams acquired what was formerly PierPoint Pacific, now PierPoint, becoming Chairman and CEO. Adams was the co-founder of The Carroll Adams Group, where she was a silent partner but left after having one of those “Eat, Pray, Love” moments. PierPoint was then offered to her, and she couldn’t pass up the opportunity, even with wanderlust pulling at her heartstrings.

Adams attended Johnson & Wales University. It’s here that she obtained her degree in hospitality. A degree that would later serve dual purposes for both The Carroll Adams Group and PierPoint. It’s also here that she worked at a pizza shop with a classmate, Ted Carroll, who ultimately became her first business partner.

Steve Hunter received his degree in business administration from the University of Akron, in Akron, Ohio. After college, he worked for various companies, all of which allowed him to master a specific skill set that would lead him into purchasing Indon, a furniture company. It was while he was at Indon that Adams offered him the position as President and COO of PierPoint.

Both Adams and Hunter helped turn PierPoint into what it is today, an industry leader in the manufacturing and production of custom textiles and accessories for the hospitality industry. In the coming years, Adams and Hunter plan to make PierPoint a brand that people know for quality, innovative products, and services.

Besides being married to their work, Adams and Hunter are also married to each other! When they’re not working, they enjoy boating, entertaining or getting their toes sandy at the beach!

Elaine Demopoulos

Elaine has 30 years of design, sales and sales management experience in the hospitality industry working at notable design and sales teams throughout the country.  Elaine’s previous roles included National Sales Director for LebaTex, Inc. and Director of Global Design & Construction for Wyndham Hotels & Resorts. Elaine is a member of NEWH and a professional member of IIDA.

Her other passion is showing and breeding Rhodesian Ridgebacks, nationally recognized!

Ashley Johnson

With 18 years of experience in the hospitality industry, Ashley blends savvy procurement skills with creative project management. She has a passion for art and a knack for spreadsheets, along with a strong background in client relations and experience in corporate, healthcare, and private collection sectors. Past positions as director of operations for a wholesale art manufacturer and as project manager for both FFE procurement and hospitality art advisory have gained Ashley excellent working knowledge of client needs.

When she's not working, you'll find Ashley soaking up the sun with loved ones!

Jennifer Springer

Jennifer is originally from Seattle, Washington where she obtained her Bachelor’s degree at the University of Washington. After graduating, she moved to the Sunshine State where she worked as an Office Administrator keeping staff and customers organized and assuring the business flow for the company.

Jennifer has held various administrative roles and most recently worked for Orange County Public Schools.

In her time off, Jennifer enjoys baking, working in the yard, walking and running, and spending time with her family (including her dog, Tison, and two cats).

Cecil M. Lapiz

Cecil M. Lapiz attended Liceo de Cagayan University in the Philippines. After college, Cecil moved to the US and worked at Mark David Furniture. After leaving that post, she began working at PierPoint in 2012.

She enjoys playing badminton and playing the guitar and keyboard.

Annie Rodriguez

Annie has worked in various aspects of the hospitality industry including front desk manager, accounting and sales at Blue Tree Resort and Cypress Pointe Resort. As a Convention Services Manager at Caribe Royale Resort, Annie successfully planned hundreds of wonderful events for many satisfied clients over several years.

In addition to working in hospitality, Annie has also managed operations and productions for Talking Tabs music and other independent recording studios. Annie enjoys providing musical talent and quality entertainment for corporate meetings and events.

Julie Fu

Julie is our sourcing manager and is located in Shanghai, China.

Julie has extensive experience in the textiles industry and has been with PierPoint for over 4 years. When Julie is not working she enjoys spending time with her family and singing. We are always entertained to hear her singing some of the more popular American songs.

Adele

You can find Adele in the office with Steven almost every day. She enjoys Area Rug testing as well as bugging Elaine for cookies.
